Powered Parachutes

Some of my pictures are taken from a powered parachute, the following pictures will show what they look like, this 1st picture shows a powered parachute with the chute laid out on the ground ready for take off.

Rapidly accelerating will bring the chute up

Continuing to accelerate down the grass runway.

Usually off the ground in a few hundred feet, the chute is shaped like a wing which provides lift.

Usually fly 25-40 mph with an unobstructed view of everything around you.

It's also a fun ride.

There are also a few backpack powerchutes around here's one getting ready to take off

Running forward into the wind will lift the chute up.

almost like flying a kite with you on the end of it.

Off the ground, less than 75' of runway used.

Probably the cheapest way to fly.

Time to come in, landing gear is down.

Maybe 2-3 steps to stop.

Chute is all packed up, fits in the back of his car.
