Some of my pictures are taken from a powered parachute, the following pictures will show what they look like, this 1st picture shows a powered parachute with the chute laid out on the ground ready for take off. powered parachute 1
Rapidly accelerating will bring the chute up
powered parachute 2
Continuing to accelerate down the grass runway. powered parachute 3
Usually off the ground in a few hundred feet, the chute is shaped like a wing which provides lift. powered parachute 4
Usually fly 25-40 mph with an unobstructed view of everything around you.
powered parachute 5
It's also a fun ride.
powered parachute 6
A friend took this picture of the one I fly in.
powered parachute 7
There are also a few backpack powerchutes around here's one getting ready to take off powered parachute 8
Running forward into the wind will lift the chute up.
powered parachute 9
almost like flying a kite with you on the end of it.
powered parachute 10
Off the ground, less than 75' of runway used.
powered parachute 11
Probably the cheapest way to fly.
