Mom's Apple Pie
A maine classic! Number of Servings: 6

4 C sliced Maine McIntosh apples, 1/2 C sugar, 2 Tbsp flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp nutmeg, 1 unbaked pie crust, double

Roll out bottom piecrust and place in pie plate. In a large bowl mix together the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour into uncooked pie crust. Dot with butter and place rolled crust on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue cooking for 1 hour or until apples are soft.
