Arch
All these things were a black mark on our History.
I make reference to corruption in Government now as it is happening now it takes the bite out of some previous happenings because this is NOW that was THEN
This is just my opinion
And anyways trying to remember that stuff at my age and mind now is a challenge.
So this new crap is easy to remember until tomorrow.

Mona if you think thing are worse today read what was said about Kennedy before he was gunned down. The same hate mongering as what we are hearing and seeing everyday and it was no more true then than now.

I disagree, the social media, Facebook, Twitter, Skipe and whatever I am forgetting are nothing but people who know nothing about what they post but what they heard or read from someone who knew absolutely nothing magnify the problems. The majority of people read something on the internet or read a text from a friend and if it is repeated over and over enough times it becomes truer and truer until violá it must be true.
I believe that things are no better or worse than they have ever been, things are exaggerated by instant news and by people who are spewing hate and discontent almost instantly.

Arch, The corruption is somuch worse today, all those things you mention were bad, even Reagan, the Saint to the people these days, how soon they forget. Today it's local the Republican Governors, and what they are doing to stop people from their right to vote, the Koch brothers and others like them buying a person. I have never seen things as bad as they are today.

Why is government corruption any worse right now than lets say Kennedy with the Bay of Pigs or LBJ with the Bay of Tonkin scandal or Nixon and Watergate or Carter and the hostages by Iran or Reagan and the Iran-Contra scandal or Clinton and his sexual escapades or GW Bush and the war in Iraq and him being AWOL from the ANG?

Each year at the holidays we donate several turkeys and all else needed for families here that are on hard times.
This year K and I will have put in also a lot of canned goods to the food bank

This year we will have a wild game dinner with some close friends.
Just about everything came out of Natures garden here

Walmart has asked their under paid employees to contribute to a fund the buy Thanksgiving dinner for other employees who make even less. Now that is just about as bad as it gets, the Waltons just each received over 3 billion each, maybe they could buy a dinner for their employees, nah their to greedy for that. They haven't done a days work for this money, grampa did, but he used the less fortunate to, Capitalizim isn't the greatest thing that came down the pike, when the money is made on someone elses hard work. They don't know this even though they pretend to be godly people, Greed is the biggest sin there is.
