Those are nice postings; is that supplement in this week's SH ??

You are right, JH, those lights across the street were something ... especially when a strong wind & drive snow moved them around !!

The good ole days ... outhouses; water pumps; cars w/ white wall tires and no rear defrost; long days of deep, deep cold!! Sigh .....

Don't forget all the payola scandals way back when. Record companys decided what was a hit and then paid for them to be aired.

I'm old enough to remember when cars parked on each side of the street in P.I. and angle parked in the middle from both directions, cars were a lot smaller then. That was in mid to 30's.

What was the big deal about angle parking? ... And did anyone else make radios besides RCA?

Bet the Music Shop donated many of the 45s aired on WEGP.

The following summer, the Northern National Bank thermometer rose one Saturday to 96 degrees! ... Reported to my WEGP listeners (including some adults) that my attempt to fry some eggs on the sidewalk ... had only made a mess.

How many barrels on that truck?

Thank you for the expressions of sympathy, Cheryl and Marilyn. Tom died twenty-five plus years ago; he has actually been absent from our lives longer then he lived. Everytime I see a young man who is 6'5", I want to ask them for a hug, 'cause I miss my big boy!

On the plus side, our grandson looks an awful lot like Tom and is going to be just as tall. As a matter of fact, when Brenden yells at his sister, I have to look twice to see if Tom is back! Family ... ya' can't beat it with a stick !!
