Regretfully, the PI Air Show that was scheduled for June 20, 2009 has
been postponed until next year, primarily because of current economic
conditions and lack of funding to "do it right." The air show planning
committee is attempting to move the event to sometime in August, 2010.
We apologize if this change inconveniences you and your plans to attend.

Welcome to the Northern Maine International Airshow at Presque Isle, Maine.
The airshow celebrates the sesquicentennial of the cities Presque Isle and Caribou. Northern Maine has a strong history of military aviation. The Presque Isle Army Air Field (1940-1961) was the last stop before most aircraft departed for Europe in WWII. The P-38 Lightning “Glacier Girl” flew out of PQI over 60 years ago on her ill fated flight to England for Operation Bolero. The P-38 came back to Presque Isle in June 2007 to re-create the original mission now called Operation Bolero II. Loring AFB was also located nearby and served our community with many fine air shows over the years (closed in 1994).
We knew it was finally time to plan an airshow in Northern Maine for all to enjoy from New Brunswick to New Hampshire and beyond.
At the Northern Maine Regional Airport.
