The Axis 212 PTZ is a unique PTZ camera, because it features no moving parts. It provides full overview, and instant, one-click pan/tilt/zoom - with maintained sharp image resolution. It works by having a very high resolution camera element capture a wide area and then a segment of this area at the given zoom level as a high quality image at the normal resolution.

This provides a PTZ unit in a much smaller space, without the problems of PTZ motors wearing out from constant use.
